Atropos

Atropos is a Wizard (and proto-capitalist) that the party first encountered in the episode “Turtle, Badger and Wolf.” He is something of a traveling salesman, spending most of his time creating and marketing magical devices of his own creation, and has a special fondness for his potions and “spellvials.” He wears a wedding ring, and has a family who live in a distant land. He also wears the robes of a Wizard of High Sorcery, belonging to the order of the Black Robes. His shop is built on top of of what appears to be a hill, but is in fact a (quite large) dragon turtle zombie under some sort of continuous, adapting illusion spell. While he prefers not to work powerful or intimidating magic in front of potential customers, he is presumably quite a potent wizard to animate, bind and disguise a powerful magical beast such as the red speckled dragon turtle…

Atropos: The advantages of having a giant zombie turtle are numerous! The extra muscle is handy, if you know what I mean; Once someone knows about it, they aren’t likely to try something stupid. And since it’s a huge turtle that doesn’t need food or sleep, it’s ideal for moving heavy things like shops. Of course, I do have to do some upkeep to make sure it doesn’t rot… And there is always that “he’s a witch” community of suicidal peasants, so the illusion helps to prevent that hassle. Actually, come to think of it, there’s just the two advantages, really…

Atropos is slightly shorter than average, and of around average weight for his height and sedentary lifestyle. Given that, he has small wrists and delicate looking fingers. His dark hair is usually worn pulled back into a short ponytail. He likes his goatee, and often strokes it while thinking. He reminds you of a daydreaming viper.
